About Advait Living Farms
Advait Living Farms is a 40+ acre family-owned agricultural endeavor situated on the banks of the River Yamuna, between Mathura and Agra, with a history spanning approximately three decades. This farmland is now passionately managed by first-generation organic farmers who made a conscious decision to transition from their corporate careers. Their driving motivation was to establish a livelihood and economic model deeply rooted in environmental sustainability and the principles of equal opportunity. This vision encompasses not only the cultivation of the land but also the creation of a business that prioritizes ecological well-being and fair practices at its core.
A central product of Advait Living Farms is their premium ghee, traditionally known as "Ghrita," which is meticulously prepared from the milk of certified indigenous cow breeds native to Rajasthan, including Gir, Sahiwal, Rathi, Karkraj, and Tharparkar. These local breeds are well-adapted to the regional climate and diet. The cows are pasture-raised, allowed to graze freely in open fields, ensuring they receive natural nourishment, exercise, and essential sunlight, resulting in milk that is unadulterated and hormone-free.
The ghee is crafted using the traditional Ayurvedic "Bilona" method, a probiotic process involving the conversion of milk to curd, manual churning to separate butter, and slow simmering. This method ensures a high-quality product free from any added preservatives, and it is thoughtfully packaged in food-grade glass bottles to maintain purity and promote environmental responsibility through recyclability.
